- Interpretation Service: Verbal rendering between two different languages.
- Consecutive Interpretation: A method of interpretation that takes place after the speaker finishes speaking.
- Simultaneous Interpretation: A method of interpretation that takes place while the speaker is speaking.
- Localization: The adaptation of the source text to local text to deliver the message, taking into account cultural differences.
- Linguistic Validation: The process of validating the understanding of the message by the target (local) audience.
- Target Audience: The specific group of people for whom the translation or localization is intended.
- Clinical Trials: Experiments or observations conducted for a clinical study.
- Projects: Any undertaking by the provider in which the users and any collaborators participate.
- Patient Reported Outcome (PRO): A report of symptoms or effects of medication by participants in a clinical trial.
- After-Delivery Online Support: Online support provided after the delivery of the work.
- Terms of Service: The binding agreements between the provider and the user or participants.
- Late Fee: Any compensation borne by the user to compensate for any delay in due payment.
- Privacy Policy: The binding documents of the provider that deal with the way the provider gathers, uses, discloses, and manages the data of the users and the visitors.
User rights and responsibilities
♥ The user has the sole discretion to use the services and website content provided by the provider (OLT), and the consequences of such use are the user’s sole responsibility.
♥ The user reserves the right to compensation for any defect or delay in the job within the total sum of the transaction unless agreed otherwise.
♥ The user is liable for compensation for any payment delay and collection efforts for the unsettled amount, including legal fees.
♥ The specifics of late fees will be negotiated case-by-case and stipulated in the PO or the Terms of Transaction.
Provider rights and responsibilities
♥ It is the provider’s sole discretion to provide the services, and the maximum liability of the provider is limited to the total sum of the services.
♥ The provider should inform the user (customer) of any delay or non-delivery of the job as soon as possible, should such an event occur or seem likely to occur, and take appropriate measures to mend the situation as soon as possible.
♥ The provider has the right to compensation for payment delay and collection efforts for delayed payment, including legal fees.
Intellectual property
♥ The provider should make the best effort to protect the intellectual property of the user.
♥ The provider should not take advantage of the user’s intellectual property without prior written consent.
♥ The procedure and know-how employed by the provider is the property of the provider.
♥ The provider and the user should not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property.
Confidentiality
♥ All information of the user and the provider that is known to each other for the services should be held confidential for at least 5 years, unless agreed otherwise.
♥ If the provider and the user are obliged to submit any confidential information by law or other legal enforcement agency, they should notify each other.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
♥ The total liability of the provider is limited to the total sum of the transaction.
♥ The provider is not responsible for force majeure such as inevitable illness or any Act of God.
♥ The user and the provider should make their best efforts to minimize harm to each other in case of any dispute.
♥ The provider does not take any responsibility for the use of its services by the user.
Dispute and jurisdiction
♥ Both the provider and the user should make their best efforts to avoid any dispute between them.
♥ Inevitable disputes should be resolved expeditiously through third-party arbitrary process first.
♥ The competent court is the Seoul District Court.
Change or Modification of the terms.
♥ The provider can change, modify or supplement the terms without notification, but any changes will be reflected on the provider’s website.
We understand that voluntary participation of all concerned parties is essential for successful localization. Our team consists of the user, participant, and provider. Honest and open communication is important for our team, and we welcome any suggestions to improve our privacy policy.
We will collect only minimal personal or identifiable information from users and participants, especially for those involved in clinical trials or other medical projects.
We will seek prior informed consent from all relevant parties for the collection of personal, identifiable, or sensitive information.
The use of personal, identifiable, or sensitive information will be limited to the relevant project and parties only.
